TOKIO HOTEL HAS NEVER BEEN TO TOKYO | They also do not know Kreator, Destruction or Scorpions that came from Germany
Pic 1: ENERGETIC...the sounds from their playing are really awesome.
Pic 2 (Georg): TOM...Bill's twin brother, expertly 'frying' up the guitar (they actually got this wrong. O.o)
Once stepped on German land, they have taken over the world. That is one of Tokio Hotel's missions, recently having a concert in Malaysia.
Their electronic music that is assumed as a new thing, was successfully played "live" when they played in Central Park Avenue, 1 Utama, Damansara.
This concert themed "TM Connects with Tokio Hotel Live in Malaysia" is thanks to Universal Music Malaysia together with Telekom Malaysia Inc. (TM)
Ironically, despite their Japanese name, Tokio Hotel which hails from Magdeburg, East Germany, has never been to Tokyo, Japan! funnier still, all four members of the band do not know the music genre "trash", namely Kreator and Destruction, even though the legendary band Scorpions are from Germany. Maybe it's because of their different "heads".
Tom, laughing and shaking his head, says. "We didn't know that band came from Germany. We've never been to Tokyo as well but we plan to as one of our concert destinations. As for Malaysia, we will definitely come back again."
Despite the rain and standing for more than four hours before the show started, nothing deterred the 3.000 fans whom by 5 in the evening have flooded the concert area.
Instantaneously, when the four young men - Bill Kaulitz as vocals, Tom Kaulitz (guitar), Georg Listing (bassist) and drummer, Gustav Schafer came up on stage at 9.10PM, the situation went wild especially with the cheers of "BILL!" from their female fans.
As soon as thank you and "How are you Malaysia?" from the spiky-haired vocalist caught the crowd's full attention, Tom started to pluck his guitar to Noise, the opening song of the concert.
It is a song from their second english album, Humanoid, after their successful debut back in 2008 with Scream. Other albums include Zimmer 483 (room 483) in 2007.
Tokio Hotel played 14 songs in their "slightly over an hour" concert. Among their 'signature' songs include Human Connect to Human, World Behind my Walls, Dark Side of the Sun, Monsoon and more.
The most adored song 'Automatic' made the audience sing along.
The concert was specially held for exclusive ticket holders that can be attained through the purchase of the HUmanoid album in Rock Corner, everywhere in the Klang Valley, starting from a month ago till 30 April.
Bill says he is glad to be in Malaysia because he has the chance to be close to the fans. Bill also admits to liking the local fried rice.
"Everything is new for us in most countries when we do a concert. We experience so many new things we want to reexperience.
"Many ask us why is our new album themed 'electronic'. Frankly, me and my twin, Tom, have always adore robotics since young
"The inspiration and message in most of the album tracks are from our teenage years and experiences we picked up from our European and American tour.
"We spend most of our time in the studio and took up almost a year before Humanoid was complete. It was difficult switching from German to English. But it's most important what the fans want. We hope to get more fans with the English tracks," he says.
The original name for Tokio Hotel was Devilish but was changed before their first German album, Schrei, back in 2005.
This group has attained ten platinums with five chart-topping songs. Tokio Hotel became the best New Artist in the MTV VMA's 2008.
That snippet in between Georg and Bunkface just says something about the local bands.

HAHA I was reading the photo captions and when I got to the Georg one, I was like, "Hmm... Tom, Bill's twin - *glances up at photo* ...Wait a minute."
Silly person who captioned it.
