Fans of German band Tokio Hotel revel in the rain

PETALING JAYA: The rain did not stop fans of German rock group Tokio Hotel from giving them a rousing welcome at their performance.

The band, featuring identical twin brothers Bill (vocals) and Tom (guitars) Kaulitz, George Listing (bassist) and Gustav Schafer (drummer), churned out hit after hit at their debut concert at One Utama Shopping Centre here on Saturday night.

Bill, with his long, spiky hair and heavy eye-makeup drove the fans into a frenzy when he belted out World Behind My Wall.

Bill also gave a haunting rendition of Monsoon in German, giving the concert a fitting finale.

The show was presented by Universal Music Malaysia and Telekom Malaysia.

Tokio Hotel was formed in Magdeburg, East Germany, in 2001. The quartet have sold nearly five million CDs and DVDs since their debut.

Definitely! Even though we had to wait for so long. And it was raining. And everybody was pushing everybody.

The band was perfectly amazing onstage, and that's all that matters in the end.

yeah, long wait.. but because TH we will do anything for them including waiting for them even if it takes forever.. haha..

That's so true. I can't wait for the band to come back here again!

yeah.. probably in july right? can't wait to see them again.. hopefully they'll do it during weekend.. because i want to go.. really want to go...

Yeah, probably July. It's so soon! I hope it's on a weekend too, it'll make everything easier.

Let’s skip for the misery while waiting and pushing with people at the live. Their performance was marvelous and incredible. Bill can really sing live!! I even get splashed of Bill’s mineral water, lol. I was actually sticky enough. -_-
While the M&G session, (actually it was quite an embarrassment cuz I was so sticky, though everyone also that sticky) the boys were gorgeous and so sweet of them. They talked with their fans in a nice manner. A fan even asked, ‘Can I hug you, Bill?’ ‘Of course.’ Awwwwwwww envy envy. But I was so shy to ask that. >____< I only talked to Bill, ‘I love you guys music very much.’ Then he said thank you and shaked my hand with glove! Why did he wore that T^T I wanted to feel the warmness of his hand. Got no chance to talk to others because the photographer kept rushing us to pose for photo…… I was soooooooooo regret didn’t ask for hug!!!!!!! But I’m grateful, really.

But it looks like impossible to go to the worldstage. Sigh sigh sigh.

You're very lucky that you got to meet the band in person! And that you shook Bill's hand, gloved or not. x) Why is it impossible for you to go for World Stage?
